Tony led the charge to obtain, remodel and re-open the
Historic Uptown Theater in downtown Grand Prairie.
He was instrumental in establishing the Farmers Market.Rebuilding over 25 miles of residential streets, curbs and gutters in District 5. Building over 20 miles of new District 5 residential sidewalks. Obtained funding to replace numerous old water,waste water and sewer lines.
Lowered the property tax rate, froze senior’s taxes, and started the city homestead exemption.
Spearheaded the
Bowles Life Center in NE Grand Prairie, combining state of the art recreation center with branch library and
police storefront.

Worked with state legislators to get service roads built to I-30 between Belt Line and MacArthur, opening up many acres for the retail development so badly needed in NE Grand Prairie.
Worked with the new Police Chief, Steve Dye, to institute TRUE neighborhood policing, so you get to know your neighborhood beat officer personally. Also,
to establish programs reaching out to the Hispanic community in District 5.
